FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - Florence County is wrapping up 2019 with success in business and job growth.
This year the area secured a total of $89 million in industry investment along with 403 incoming jobs.
There were two big projects announced this year.
It was announced in August that the Texas chain gas station and convenience store, Buc-ees, will be located at the intersection of Interstate 95 and S.C. 327. And McCall Farms announced another major expansion back in October.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Niagara Bottling, a leading beverage manufacturer in the U.S., today announced plans to establish operations in Florence County. The company’s more than $70 million investment is projected to create 70 new jobs over the next five years.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Effingham Pellets, LLC, a subsidiary of Charles Ingram Lumber Company, today announced plans to establish operations in Florence County. The company's more than $5.4 million investment is projected to create 10 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C – SteelFab, Inc., a leading American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) certified fabricator of structural steel in the United States, today announced plans to expand operations in Florence County. The company's more than $5 million investment will create 28 new jobs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – NARENCO, a leading renewable energy independent power producer, today announced plans to establish operations in Florence County. The company is investing $20 million into the project. 
FLORENCE, S.C. – Ruiz Foods, a frozen Mexican food manufacturer, today announced plans to expand operations in Florence County. The company plans to invest $40 million. 
FLORENCE, S.C. – Charles Ingram Lumber Company and its sister company, Willowcreek Lumber Company, today announced plans to reinvest in an expansion project originally announced in 2016. The additional investment will include $10 million for Charles Ingram Lumber Company and $10 million for Willowcreek Lumber Company to total $20 million in additional investment.
