August 13, 2015 -Company investing $42 million to launch two new product lines
COLUMBIA, S.C. - Honda of South Carolina Manufacturing, Inc., a company that specializes in the manufacturing of world-class all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and side-by-side (SxS) vehicles, is expanding its existing Florence County operations, with the addition of two new product lines - the Pioneer 1000 and the Pioneer 1000-5. July 9, 2015 - Company investing $4 million to open new production facility
COLUMBIA, S.C. - McCall Farms, the South Carolina-based manufacturers of Margaret Holmes, Glory Foods, Peanut Patch Boiled Peanuts and Bruce's Yams, is expanding its existing Florence County operations with a new, state-of-the-art production facility. The $4 million investment is expected to generate 25 new jobs in Effingham, S.C. over the next five years. Read More
June 3, 2014 Company to invest $55 million in frozen food manufacturing facility.
COLUMBIA, S.C. - Ruiz Food Products, Inc., a producer of leading frozen Mexican food and snack products, has selected Florence County for its newest manufacturing facility - its first on the East Coast.The $55 million investment is expected to generate more than 500 new jobs over the next several years. Ruiz Foods, which is based in Dinuba, Calif., is expanding into the Southeast region through the acquisition of a state-of-the-art facility in Florence. Renovation of the former Heinz facility - located in the Pee Dee Touchstone Energy Commerce City park - is scheduled to begin immediately, and the company plans to begin manufacturing a variety of its nationally distributed El Monterey and Tornados products in 2015. Read More

FLORENCE, S.C. - The Florence County Economic Development Partnership announced Thursday that Med-Enroll will establish its headquarters in downtown Florence, creating 153 new jobs. "We are excited to be starting our venture in Florence and hope that our business will not only provide a positive economic impact in the region, but also serve as a business leader in helping drive the economic redevelopment of downtown Florence."
