Florence, S.C. --Florence County Progress will host its Fall Networking Event on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at The Waters Building in Downtown Florence from 5:30–7:30 p.m. This year’s program blends business, community, and culture, featuring a homecoming performance by Florence native Grace Miller Moody, standout contestant on NBC’s The Voice, and remarks from Donna C. Isgett, President and CEO of McLeod Health.
A Homegrown Talent Returns
Moody first captured national attention on Season 27 of The Voice when her soulful rendition of Maroon 5’s “Sunday Morning” earned her the coveted four-chair turn. Choosing to join Adam Levine’s team, she quickly became recognized for her authenticity, storytelling, and artistry, shaped by influences such as Stevie Nicks and Amy Winehouse.
A 2022 graduate of Trinity Collegiate School in Florence, Moody is currently pursuing a psychology degree at the College of Charleston while actively writing music and performing live. Her passion for music is rooted in its power to heal and inspire - a perspective shaped by her younger brother Shott’s four-year battle with leukemia and the family’s celebration of his remission at a Maroon 5 concert, deepening her emotional connection to the band.
Since her appearance on The Voice, Moody has continued to make her mark on the Southern music scene. She performs regularly across Charleston, recently headlining a sold-out show at Port of Call before 800 fans, and has been featured at Country Night at Music Farm as well as this summer’s Carolina Country Music Festival (CCMF) in Myrtle Beach. She has also opened for notable acts including The Stews Band and Congress the Band, bringing her original music to new audiences.
Her most recent singles, Down That Road and Innocence, showcase both her distinctive voice and her gift for storytelling. These songs hold deep personal meaning for Moody, making her upcoming performance in Florence especially significant as she shares her music with the community that shaped her.
At the Progress Fall Networking Event, Moody will headline with an exclusive live performance alongside The Grace Miller Moody Band. Progress members and their guests will also enjoy a pre-show reception where they can meet Grace Miller, take photos, and be part of a special presentation from McLeod Health honoring her pursuit of dreams.
Local Leadership on Stage
The evening will also highlight community leadership with remarks from Donna C. Isgett, President and Chief Executive Officer of McLeod Health. Isgett became the first woman to lead McLeod Health in 2021, following decades of distinguished service in nursing, healthcare administration, and statewide leadership.
Her message will celebrate Moody’s journey from Florence to the national stage and emphasize the importance of supporting youth in pursuing their passions.
“This is more than a networking event. It’s a special night that brings together our business community, celebrates local talent, and creates a meaningful hometown moment that elevates Florence,” said Gregg Robinson, CEO of the Florence County Economic Development Partnership.
