Florence County Economic Development Partnership

Florence County Economic Development Partnership opened its doors on January 1, 1999. This private-public venture was conceived by Florence County Council and a private business organization known as Florence County Progress, Inc. The Partnership is exemplified through the 31 member board with members appointed by County Council and elected by members of Florence County Progress. Thus, both parties work as a team to enhance economic development within Florence County. The Partnership works to recruit new business and industry to the area while helping existing industry grow and expand.

Florence County Economic Development Partnership Board meets quarterly at the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology. The 2023 meeting dates are January 10, April 26, July 26, and October 26. Additionally, standing committee meetings are subject to call by the Chair and notices will be posted at the FCEDP office at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.
